Review and Response Process
FairSwap will review grievances submitted through the published grievance channel, acknowledge them as required by applicable law or policy, investigate the information provided, take appropriate action where required, and communicate an outcome or request further information where necessary.
If the intermediary grievance provisions of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 apply to FairSwap, Rule 3A provides an appeal route to the Grievance Appellate Committee (GAC). A person aggrieved by a Grievance Officer decision may appeal within the applicable 30-day period, and Rule 3A also covers certain grievances not resolved within the applicable Rule 3 resolution period. Appeals are handled online through the official GAC portal.
Safety and Urgent Concerns
For active marketplace interactions, users should utilize FairSwap's existing Report and Block controls available on listings, user profiles, and chat conversations.
If you believe there is an immediate risk to someone's safety, contact the appropriate local emergency or law-enforcement service. FairSwap is an online classifieds directory and does not provide emergency response services.
